Kirby
de Lanerolle
Kirby de Lanerolle serves as the Presiding Bishop of the Apostolic Diocese of Ceylon, where he oversees 800 churches and is committed to protecting the rights of persecuted Christian minorities, spiritual awakening, doctrinal integrity, and the restoration of apostolic Christianity for the modern world. He and his wife Fiona co-founded WOW Life Church in 2006, now a global movement shaping the spiritual landscape of Sri Lanka and beyond. Kirby’s academic background spans theology, neuroscience, psychology, and mental health, with advanced studies at King’s College London and the University of Pennsylvania. His unique ability to integrate biblical revelation with cutting-edge scientific understanding has positioned him as a sought-after teacher on identity, transformation, and the nature of spiritual conflict. Before entering full-time ministry, Kirby served for over two decades as an advisor to the Sri Lankan Cabinet and Government, becoming one of the youngest national advisors of his time. His philanthropic and social-impact work has earned him multiple national recognitions, including awards from both the Speaker of Parliament and the President of Sri Lanka. His journey into the faith was forged through deep personal conviction. Having witnessed and personally experienced the destructive influence of occult spiritual wickedness infiltrating governmental, corporate, and even religious spheres, Kirby came to believe that the Church is God’s answer to a world entangled in hidden systems of bondage. Through his own redemption and deliverance, he carries a mandate to equip the Body of Christ to discern, overcome, and break free from the spiritual forces that seek to undermine human destiny. His teachings, including those in this book, flow from a life shaped by encounter, scholarship, and decades of pastoral leadership. Kirby writes with a single aim: to liberate captives, awaken purpose, and strengthen believers for the times we live in.
